One platform, not a resold subscription
Cumulus is built and run by Gibson IT, not resold from a hyperscaler account we don't control. That matters in two ways. Workloads placed on Cumulus get public or hybrid cloud hosting sized to what your organization actually runs, and the same platform doubles as the disaster recovery target for customers who replicate their on-premises systems to us. One relationship covers hosting and the fallback plan for that hosting, instead of two vendors who have never spoken to each other.
Where Cumulus fits next to your own infrastructure
Hybrid is the normal shape of this work. Some systems stay on-premises, some move to Cumulus, and the two need to work together rather than sit in separate silos. We architect that split based on your requirements, not a default template, and connect it back to your existing VMware environment where one exists.
