The edge and the links between your sites, designed together
Connecting two offices, or an office to a data center, is more than running a circuit between two points and calling it done. The edge, the router and firewall boundary where your network meets the outside world, has to route traffic correctly under normal load and still hold up when a link degrades or drops. Inter site networking, the paths between your own locations, has to move data with the latency and reliability the applications running over it actually need, whether that is a phone system, a shared file server, or a replication link to a disaster recovery site.
